as i only have one lecture at 8am in school today, i decided to skip it. why travel longer than the time required to be in school right? so i shall introduce my lil tiny room here! see my table, then my bed below (yes i have no bed frame)? further to the side is my clothes cupboard n tada! thats the end of my very tiny room :).

anyway, i only have one lect today because i went to the independent living centre in sir charles gardner hospital yesterday for my labs. i was suppose to reach at 3pm... n i reached at... 3.45pm. all because i missed ONE turning. the last main turning.. went deep into the city and was absolutely lost.. nearly died many times cos i was so distracted trying to see the map. sighs. waste of petrol... but thankfully i'm alive! anw they have loads more of assistive devices/equipment than us.. but i also think mainly people here are more receptive to them too. its like so normal to see ah mas here using adult walkers, but i rarely see any in sg. anw the adult walker i'm referring to is something like the one below:

there's many types.. got some with bigger basket, some with seats only.. in other words, it depends on what your needs are. so its like kill two birds with one stone. help ahmas n ahgongs carry groceries, bags etc, and also helps them to walk with increase stability.

maybe sg ah mas n ah gongs don't like to use because of poor accessibility? here take bus got the ramp tat will auto piak down, so they can jus roll on into the bus.. imagine if just because i'm using this in sg i have to wait for the buses with the handicap sign....

my conclusion is.. since we pay a lot to the transportation area (be it tax, erp, bus/mrt fares), maybe, somehow, someone should squeeze more money into making all our buses have ramps (auto type, rather than the bus driver have to get out n open it). that auto ramp isn't just a ramp into the bus. its a ramp that brings greater opportunities!
